What is the #StrideHappy social experiment about?
In life, it's the little things that make a big difference. Smiling at people, waving and saying hello are such small gestures but can make a real difference.
You may not know, but all runners are part of one big global community, bonded by the fact that we're all nuts enough to go out running in the first place! It's therefore only right that as a community, we are friendly towards one another, and greet each other as we run past.
How to take part
Okay, here are the steps...
- Go on a run
- Greet other runners (wave, nod, wink, whatever you like!)
- Make a mental note of how many people greeted you back
- Log your results after every run by filling in the quick questionnaire!
... That's it!
This social experiment asks only a few short questions designed to record the number of times runners have greeted you while you're out there pounding the pavement.
Over time, the results will be mapped to hopefully show the increase in the number of people greeting one another when out and about. In turn, we can make the world a friendlier place, and an even stronger community!
To thank you for taking part, there is a discount code at the end of the survey. Thank you so much for participating!
